Berkley Oaks Neighborhood Association

Berkley Oaks

Berkley Oaks is bounded by Tennyson Lane on the north, the railroad tracks on the east, Northport drive on the south and North  Sherman Ave. on the west. The neighborhood association was founded by Anita Lightfoot in 1996 as a move to fight a plan for a gas station in the neighborhood. The association also wished to make Berkley Park more family friendly. The association was reestablished in 2006 by Willy Holden. The association has been successful in improving Berkley Park, which now has improved hours and lighting, and goals for 2007 plan to further enhance the area with perrenials and picnic tables.
