The East Isthmus Neighborhood Planning Council was founded in 2000 as the third planning council enacted in Madison. The council is a non-profit, independent organization funded by the City of Madison, United Way, Madison Community Foundation, Quixote Foundation and individual donors and businesses. The grass-roots coalition of East Isthmus neighborhoods and businesses is governed solely by residents of the area who work together to improve the quality of life in the East Isthmus area.
