The McClellan Park Neighborhood Association was established in 2004 to, “give all McClellan Park residents an active voice in the future of the neighborhood by working closely with the City of Madison to develop a plan that covers the major issues facing the residential, commercial and public facets of the area.” The neighborhood is bordered on the west from I-90 to Sprecher Rd., and between Cottage Grove Rd. and Milwaukee St. The active community has recently worked together to establish North Star Park, a community park that broke ground in spring/summer of 2007, with future additions planned. The neighborhood association's website contains an event calendar where residents can learn about planned community events including MPNA board meetings and family activities. A seasonal newsletter also serves to keep residents up to date on neighborhood issues and events.
