The Meadowood neighborhood is located between Hammersley Rd, Crabapple Lane and Raymond Rd on the north, Rae Lane, S. Whitney Way and the city limits on the east, Meadowood Dr and Monticello Way on the south and Prairie Road on the west. The neighborhood consists of approximately 1350 single and multiple family homes which are split up into 15 areas to help facilitate face to face contact with neighborhood association members.
The neighborhood association has gone under a number of revisions, beginning in 1958 as the Meadowood Community Club, the Meadowood Community Association in 1967, and more recently adopting a new constitution and changing its name to the Meadowood Neighborhood Association in 2002. The association boasts a 65% membership rate, and works to sponsor resident activities and organize civic involvement.
