The Ridgewood Neighborhood Association is an active association working to address the issues of its immediate neighborhood and the city of Madison at large. The neighborhood is located on the east side bordered by Soo Line Railroad on the north, North Thompson Drive and Bultman Road on the east, Sycamore Avenue on the south, and Wayridge Drive on the west. The neighborhood has seen a recent boom of growth with several housing projects being undertaken by area developers, adding to an already busy business presence. Along with that growth comes the need to control traffic and transportation issues, which the association is actively pursuing. The neighborhood is a member of the Eastisde Neighborhoods Planning Council and works alongside 14 other eastside neighborhoods to sponsor community outreach forums and community programs. Together, the council works to improve the quality of life and protect and improve the economy on the city's far east side. Glacier Hills Park and the dog-friendly Sycamore Park provide the neighborhood with outdoor locations to congregate and hold community events.
